About the Case

Using the Wire Saw system, which uses diamond wire, Furacon made several cuts in the sewage outfall located on the Marginal Tietê, for the interconnection of a new system, as part of a project by the São Paulo State Government.

After making the cuts, two 3.0 x 3.0m pieces of concrete were removed, about 40 cm thick. You can see the size of these pieces in the photos. The great challenge of this job was to overcome the volumetric pressure that was very intense inside the outfall, making it difficult to make the cuts and remove the pieces.
