Using the Wire-Saw System, we performed the cutting of the top of a 60-meter-high Flare (burner) at a refinery in the city of Santo André.
Our goal was to cut the top of the flare without using impact tools, grinders, or torches.
It was necessary to climb to the cutting location to install a remotely operated diamond wire cutting system and carry out the work continuously and safely, ensuring that no tools or small cut pieces of the burner (Flare) fell and damaged the peripheral area at the base of the stack.
The job was dangerous and very challenging, but we successfully completed the entire cutting process safely and professionally.
